Diamondback Baere Tote Design and Use

Materials and Construction

Diamondback starts with DiamondSkin V-diamond vinyl material and laminates 1000D nylon liners and pockets to it. It’s sewn together using a combination of single, double, and triple stitching. Looking over the bag, we don’t see any areas we’re concerned about coming apart on us and the combination of materials feels durable.

While the DiamondSkin base material is waterproof, they don’t construct the bag itself to keep water out. If you happen to set it in standing water, it can leak in around the seams. Some brands’ bags and totes include a waterproof base. It’s a nice feature but adds quite a bit of weight. That’s the trade-off you need to consider.

Pockets

Four medium-size pockets (4.5 – 5 inches wide) line the interior and there are another four on the exterior. There’s also a combination pocket that stacks a nylon tape measure clip, two pencil holders, and a stiffer 3-inch pocket. We like the loadout, but some folks may want smaller hand tool pockets for hand drivers.
