Dremel 4V Cordless Glue Pen Review

Dremel Cordless Glue Pen Promises Precision and Speed

Dremel has its proverbial finger on the pulse of what makes the DIY community tick. We find as many opportunities to review as many of their offerings as we’d like. However, the Dremel 4V Cordless Glue Pen gave us a great excuse. It makes for another great example of a tool that crosses over into the “universally helpful” category. This glue pen heats up extremely quickly, works with precision, and brings cordless convenience to your arts and crafts…or repairs.

  • Extremely fast heat-up time

  • Tip doesn’t drip when not in use
  • Precision tip for detailed a more detailed application

What’s the Big Deal?

We found a few notable features with the Dremel Cordless Glue Pen. For one thing, its heat-up speed is truly impressive. Glue guns have gotten quicker at reaching temperature over the years, but this might be the quickest we’ve seen so far. It can reach its maximum temperature of 338ºF in just 15 seconds or so.

Feeding glue sticks into the pen is pretty simple. After inserting the stick into the pen, you’ll just need to press down on the back end of the stick while squeezing the trigger a couple of times. It’s a coordinated effort that’s simple to learn.

The Dremel Cordless Glue Pen runs on an internal 4V lithium-ion battery that gives you up to 30 minutes of continuous use before you need to recharge it via a mini USB cable. It also features an auto safety shut-off that engages after 10 minutes of inactivity to save the battery.

The glue pen features a green LED for when it has reached a full charge, which turns red when it’s time to recharge. Dremel tells us that it can hold a charge for up to 18 months in storage.
