Let Ryobi Simplify Flooring Work with 5-1/2″ Saw
The Ryobi PGC21 18V ONE+ Flooring Saw makes short work of cutting your LVT and LVP (luxury vinyl tile/planks), laminate, and hardwood flooring. It also doesn’t take up a ton of space. Its lightweight and compact design make this a highly portable solution. The fact that it runs off a single Ryobi 18V battery means you don’t need to find an outlet to get to work.
Ryobi PGC21 Flooring Saw: The Big Deal
We got a chance to see the Ryobi 5-1/2″ flooring saw up close and even make some cuts. While we need to get it in for review, it looks super-handy. First of all, its size and weight make it really conducive for taking to the job site. Even moving it around the room takes less effort. The 18V battery platform offers another level of convenience as you won’t need to drag an extension cord. Ryobi claims you can get up to 240 linear feet of cutting when using a 9Ah battery.
But, that’s not where the convenience ends. The Ryobi Flooring Saw makes miter, rip, and crosscuts on vinyl tile, vinyl planks, laminates, and hardwood flooring. When ripping wood or vinyl planks, the saw locks into position, letting you use it as a sort of inverted table saw. You just feed the wood through against the included fence.
It also has 15-inches of crosscut capacity—plus it handles up to 10-inches when making a miter cut. The 5-1/2″ thin kerf blade cuts to a depth of 3/4″, so even hardwood should present no problem.
Finally, the Ryobi PGC21 flooring saw mitigates clean-up efforts as well. While it does have its own dust collection bag, we recommend connecting your jobsite vac to minimize dust and debris while working.

Look for the Ryobi PGC21 18V ONE+ 5-1/2″ Flooring Saw to arrive at your local Home Depot in September 2021. It looks like it will be available as a bare tool for $169. Ryobi will include a 3-year warranty on the tool.
