Most Powerful EGO 56V Leaf Blower

EGO 650 CFM Blower LB6500

EGO’s 650 CFM leaf blower is the brand’s most powerful at the moment. In our tests, it pushed a class-leading 20.3 Newtons using the 5.0Ah battery that comes in the kit. Giving it a bigger fuel tank, it pushed itself a bit higher to 20.8 Newtons using a 7.5Ah battery.

This is the most expensive of EGO’s residential handheld offerings, but it’s the strongest of any of their current models.

Best Value EGO 56V Leaf Blower

EGO 530 CFM Blower LB5300

We actually got to build our own EGO 530 CFM blowers when we visited Chervon’s manufacturing facilities in Nanjing, China back in 2016 and I still use that blower every week to clear off my hard surfaces after mowing. 530 CFM might not seem that impressive compared to the more powerful options EGO has, but it gets the job done quickly. For just $179 with a 2.5Ah battery and charger, it’s our pick for the best value in the lineup.

EGO’s backpack blower shifts the weight of the battery onto your, giving you a traditional backpack blower feel while maintaining a more efficient inline design for the motor and impeller. This keeps it working at an impressively high power level and makes it more reasonable to carry larger batteries—even the 10.0Ah pack.

This one came in before we started testing Newton force, so we don’t have that value to share with you. However, its 600 CFM and 145 MPH top speed put it near the top.

EGO sent pitched us a curveball a while back when they introduced their commercial line of lawn care equipment. Still running a 56V platform, these tools rely on a battery backpack with a much higher capacity than even the 10.0Ah battery holds. Like the backpack blower, this model puts the weight of the battery on your back but keeps the motor and impeller inline to improve its airflow efficiency.

The blower pushed a solid 18.2 Newtons in our testing. Though it’s not as powerful as the 650 model, its more modest blowing force and high-capacity power source let it run up to 1 hour, 36 minutes on high and even breaking the hour mark 1 hour, 10 minutes) at Turbo.

EGO 615 CFM Blower LB6150

EGO’s 615 CFM blower settles in between the 530 and 650 CFM models, providing mid-range blowing force without reaching the 650’s price point. If you already have other EGO products, the bare tool is just $10 more than the 530 at Ace Hardware and a nice step up in performance.

EGO 580 CFM Blower LB5800

The 580 CFM model replaces the 575. Even though the CFM ratings are very similar, this model boost the max airspeed to 168 MPH and bumps up to 18.0 Newtons. Not as widely available as other models, this one runs more than the 615 CFM blower, though it the kit does come with a 5.0Ah battery instead of a 2.5Ah. Either way, you might want to do some price comparison before pulling the trigger.

EGO 480 CFM Blower LB4800

EGO’s 480 CFM blower has the lightest blowing force of what’s currently available. Just over $100 as a bare tool, this one is best for taking care of hard surfaces after mowing and maintaining small lawns. The kit price is actually a little higher than the 530, so step up a bit in performance if you need a battery and charger.

EGO 56V Combo Kits

EGO String Trimmer and Blower Combo ST1502LB

This combo combines EGO’s 15-inch string trimmer with Rapid Reload head and the 530 CFM blower. At $279 with a 2.5Ah battery and charger, it’s a great entry into the platform. Be warned, though. Once you see how much more convenient trimming and blowing is with a battery, a mower and hedge trimmer are right around the corner. Before you know it, you’ll need the Z6 zero-turn and the power head attachment system!

EGO Mower, String Trimmer and Blower Combos

There are several 3-tool combos that combine a mower, string trimmer, and blower to get you started with battery-powered lawn care at a better value. All three include EGO’s 15-inch string trimmer with Rapid Reload head and the 580 CFM blower.

The most affordable includes EGO’s 21-inch push mower and a 5.0Ah battery for $669. This is best for smaller lawns that can get the mowing, trimming, and blowing done on just one battery. Of course, you can always add more to extend your runtime.

Moving up to $809, you get the EGO LM2100SP 21-inch self-propelled lawn mower and a 7.5Ah battery. With that battery, you should be able to cover mowing, trimming, and blowing on lots up to a 1/4-acre easily.

Stepping up a little more to $899, you get the best cut quality. This upgrades you to the Select Cut 21-inch self-propelled mower and a 7.5Ah battery. This is a good bet for lawns up to 1/4-acre and gives you better cutting in thick grass varieties such as St. Augustine.
