A reader wrote in with a tip that this Flex 24V Max cordless drill kit (model FX1131-1A) is on sale at Lowe’s for $99.

The Flex FX1131 cordless drill features a brushless motor, 650 in-lbs max torque, 0-500/0-1800 RPM max speed, and comes bundled with a charger, 1x 2.5Ah battery, and tool bag.

Thank you to Brian for the heads-up!

Price: $99

Flex FX1151-2A Cordless Drill Kit at Lowes

Lowe’s $99 deal seems decent, but I’d pick a different Flex cordless drill kit instead.

The Flex FX1151-2A kit features a brushless motor, 750 in-lbs max torque, and 0-600/0-2200 RPM max speed.

This kit comes with a charger, 2x 2.5Ah batteries, and a tool bag, and it’s on sale for the same price as the Lowe’s deal right now.

Price: $99

The Flex 1131 at Lowe’s is the “compact” model, which is a little shorter and lighter than the 1151.

Both models look to be on sale long-term, with the Lowe’s deal advertised as ending May 1st, 2024.

Lowe’s cleared out much of the first wave of Flex cordless power tools, including the 1151 drill kit, but has continued carrying Flex’s compact tools.

For the same money, as both kits are currently priced at $99, I’d more strongly consider the 1151 if in the market for a Flex-branded cordless drill.

Both look to be good deals, but the 1151 kit gives you more torque, higher speed, and 2x batteries at the same price. The charger appears to be the same for both kits.

Competitive Options

If you’re looking for a competing brushless drill kit at the $99 price point, you might have to wait until May or June for Father’s day deals.

The winter holiday shopping season is well behind us now, and so are all of the $99 cordless drill kit promotions that I have been following.

Dewalt’s 20V Max brushed motor special buy drill kit ($99 at Amazon) is the only other like-priced pro kit promo I know of right now.

Both of the Flex cordless drill deals look to be good bargains for the brand, which – in my opinion – seems to have been very reluctant to follow other brands’ aggressive holiday season promotional tactics.
