The Flir C5 pocket thermal camera is currently discounted at Amazon to $599.
I stopped following Flir pricing, and so I can’t tell you what the regular price is. Amazon says you save 25% off $799.
The C5 features a 160×120 pixel thermal imaging sensor, the brand’s MSX image enhancing tech that embosses visual contrast over a thermal image map, 3.5″ touch screen display, IP54 rating, and 2 meter drop protection.
From what I can tell, it’s similar to their iPhone and Android smartphone attachments, but with a screen and rechargeable battery.
The Flir Cx5 is not on sale, and is the “hazardous location” version of the same thermal imaging camera. Flir’s marketing materials say the Cx5 is “certified for use in many explosive environments.”
