According to mass media websites, “early Labor Day” tool sales have kicked off, with the promise of “deep savings” on cordless power tools, hand tools, and more, and via a “plethora” of tool sales right now.
Early Labor Day 2023 tool deals? I took a quick look to see if I could find any notable deals.
Here’s Amazon’s main deals page, and here are all of their tool deals. There’s not much, aside from the Dewalt tool deals that I recently posted about.
Amazon has a lot of discounted 3rd party listings, such as Makita’s 18V X2 cordless circular saw for $88. I’m guessing that most of those 3rd party deals were purchased as part of promo bundles from Home Depot and then parted out for resale.
What about Home Depot? They have just 4 labor day tool deals up right now. They’re decent promos, but not enough to justify hyping up “early Labor Day” tool deals.
Home Depot also has a huge Super Savings Tool Deals event going on right now, some of which are really good bargains. This, I think, is the best collection of tool promos and bundles going on right now, at least with respect to cordless power tools.
Lowe’s has some promos, with all kinds of end dates depending on the products, with some spanning through the start of November.
Acme Tools has an end-of-season sale on Dewalt cordless outdoor power tools right now, and a couple of other promos.
Ohio Power Tools has a Flex flash sale.
Tool Nut has various tool deals right now.
KC Tool has 15% off all Knipex tools, with the discount automatically appearing after you add eligible tools to your cart.
Labor Day is 2-1/2 weeks away, and while it is a big shopping weekend, I’m not seeing many notable early tool sales right now.
Well, there are some deals and promos, but none that I can see as being specifically connected to Labor Day. Maybe more special promotions will materialize between now and then.
I expected more, given all of the “early Labor Day” hype I’ve been seeing.
I think that we will see some decent deals as part of Amazon’s second 2-day Prime Day sales event in October, as it now essentially marks the beginning of the winter holiday shopping season.
I’ll keep looking for more deals.
