Milwaukee M18 Fuel Brush Cutter

Milwaukee Adds Dedicated String Trimmer To M18 Fuel Lineup

We reviewed Milwaukee’s Quik-Lok brush cutter attachment back in 2022, and now the brand is releasing its first dedicated brush-cutting tool. We’re looking at how the Milwaukee M18 Fuel Brush Cutter compares to the attachment version and what else it brings to the table for landscaping Pros.

Milwaukee M18 Fuel Brush Cutter Performance

  • Model: Milwaukee 3015-20
  • Reaches full throttle in under one second
  • PowerState brushless motor
  • RedLink Plus technology
  • Sustains power under load without bogging down
  • Two-speed control
  • Variable speed trigger
  • Max speed: 6200 RPM

Milwaukee tells us that this brush cutter reaches full throttle in under a second thanks to its PowerState brushless motor and RedLink Plus intelligence. Not only that, but it sustains its power under load without bogging down. The RedLink Plus technology also prevents the tool from overloading, overheating, and over-discharge.

This brush cutter keeps the same two speed settings that we saw in the Quik-Lok brush cutter attachment, at 0 – 4900 RPM and 0 – 6200 RPM, respectively. Plus, a variable speed trigger lets you apply the right amount of speed for the application.

The 3015-20 houses the motor on the rear end to provide a balanced design for added maneuverability. As a bare tool, it weighs 11.4 pounds and stands 72 inches long. Milwaukee also includes a dual shoulder strap harness that hooks onto the tool and helps bare the weight of the tool onto your core to relieve some of the fatigue that comes with long-term use.
