PART THREE: Connecting the New Ignition Coil

Connect the plug into the side of the ignition coil. Plug each ignition cable into the coil using the order written on them. Reconnect the battery. Start the vehicle to test the new coil.

INSTALLATION STEPS

PART ONE: Disconnecting the Old Coils

Disconnect the negative terminal on your battery. Locate the ignition coil that needs to be replaced. Label the cables running into the coil, if there are more than one. Disconnect each cable leading into the coil. Tuck the ignition cables to the side. Release the clip on the plug running into the side of the coil.

PART TWO: Swapping in the New Coil

Unscrew the bolts holding the coil in place using a wrench. Remove the coil from the engine bay. Compare the new coil to the old one before installing it. Orient the new coil in the same direction as the old one. Insert the bolts to hold the coil in place.

WHY SHOULD YOU REPLACE YOUR VEHICLE’S IGNITION COILS?

Reasons:
The ignition coils in your engine produce an electrical current that’s carried through your ignition cables (spark plug wires) to the spark plug. That current then flows through the plug to detonate the air and fuel mixture inside the cylinder. A faulty ignition coil can result in a misfire or even the engine failing to run. Once you’ve identified which coil is causing the issue, you can test the ignition coil to make sure it’s the problem. Replacing a bad coil can be done in just a few hours with common hand tools.

Notice:
For more accurate compatibility, you can use the FITMENT CHART above the listing to check if this ignition coil fits your vehcles or not. For more types of ignition coils, please refer to ECCPP IGNITION COILS for details.

PRODUCT FUNCTION

Ignition coil is actually a transformer. The automobile ignition system uses this high-voltage electricity to ignite the mixture in the gas cylinder by converting the 12-volt voltage of the automobile to the voltage of 2-30,000 volts. The function of ignition coil is to change low-voltage direct current into high-voltage current. The voltage can reach tens of thousands of volts. The spark is produced by breaking down air ionization through spark plug in cylinder.

MATERIAL AND DESIGN

This ignition coil is curved designed, which shows a beauty of strength. Ignition coil is mainly made of PBT GF30 plastic, which can basically meet the requirements of pressure and heat resistance. Especially in order to prevent the ignition coil damage caused by the large difference of temperature and vibration, our designer took these factors into account in the design, and chose better engineering plastics. These materials are solid granular, which need to be melted in the injection molding machine at high temperature, and then injection molding.
