Ridgid Expands 18V Lineup With Brushless Ratchets
We’ve heard plenty of Ridgid fans asking for a variety of tools on the brand’s popular 18V system. Ridgid 18V cordless brushless ratchet models are a response to one of the most frequent requests from professional mechanics and automotive enthusiasts.
Ridgid 18V Cordless Brushless Ratchet | The Big Deal
Ridgid’s response initially included three cordless ratchets and now there are a couple of extended reach models. Whether you’re looking for a 1/2-inch, 3/8-inch, or 1/4-inch drive, there’s a model for you.
The design team put some real thought into what mechanics need. Using any 18V battery for power (we recommend the 2.0Ah Max Output packs for these), a brushless motor delivers improved performance, runtime, and service life over brushed options.
Depending on the model you choose, the speeds range from 175 RPM to 325 RPM with speed dropping as torque increases. Torque ranges are 45 ft-lbs to 60 ft-lbs.
The battery slides on parallel to the tool body before slimming down to the handle and two-finger variable speed trigger. A flush forward/reverse switch keeps the head as compact as possible for reaching into tight areas.
Additional Highlights
- Trigger lock-out switch
- LED lights
