Dewalt 20V Max Cordless Pin Nailer is Finally on the Way!

Dewalt has expanded their cordless nailer lineup by quite a bit, and a new one is coming soon, one that users have been asking about for an extremely long time.

Shown above is a sneak peek at the new Dewalt 20V Max cordless pin nailer, model DCN623. (Thank you to everyone who wrote in about this!)

The new Dewalt cordless pin nailer is said to work with 23 gauge pin nails up to 1-1/2″ long, and it can drive pins up to this length into hardwood such as solid oak.

It features a tool-free jam release, a low nail lockout, and reload alert.

The pin nailer is 100% battery powered, with no compressor, hose, or gas cartridges required.

As of now, we only have the SKU for the kit, DCN623D1, which comes with a charger and presumably a 2.0Ah battery as the D1 suffix suggests.

Runtime, dimensions, and weight specs are not available at this time. I expect we’ll learn more as the nailer gets closer to market.

So… what do you think? Who’s excited to finally add a Dewalt 20V Max cordless pin nailer to their kit?

Why the long delay? A lot of brands have been slow to release cordless pin nailers, possibly because getting the power and size *just right* has been an enormous challenge. The new Dewalt model looks compact enough – at least from its single product image – that it could potentially replace your air nailer, but we’ll have to see about that.

We will be happy to hear your thoughts
