Delivering up to 2,000 PSI and 1.2 GPM, the compact and lightweight Stihl RE 110 Plus electric pressure washer gives homeowners a convenient solution for tackling their outdoor chores. It sports a brushless motor, and it comes with an adjustable flat-jet nozzle, rotary nozzle, and detergent sprayer to tackle decks, siding, driveways, and sidewalks. Stihl seems to target consumers with this pressure washer. Professionals typically require much higher pressure and waterflow rates for more demanding tasks. For regular, household cleaning, however, this looks like a solid option from a reliable dealer-supported brand.

Key Features

For better mobility, the Stihl RE 110 Plus Pressure Washer comes with an aluminum telescopic handle that features a secondary helper handle. When the job is over, you can collapse the handle to more easily store it away.

The RE 110 Plus also features a two-piece lance and spray gun assembly with a built-in nozzle cleaner to remove dirt and debris. Stihl designed the spray gun with a reverse pull trigger to make it more comfortable to use. The lance also has a thicker shroud compared to the thinner ones found on Pro models. That may make it easier to grasp in the hand for consumers used to a different style of ergonomics.

This Stihl Pressure Washer also has an energy-saving feature. When you release the trigger, the motor automatically shuts off until you use it again. With an electric model, this makes a lot of sense and also likely provides some protection for the internal pump.

The Stihl RE 110 Plus is designed for long-term reliability. It features stainless steel valves and pump pistons and an aluminum pump manifold designed to resist corrosion and wear. The 23-foot hose includes anti-twist couplings to reduce the chance of your hose twisting during use.

Stihl designed the RE 110 pressure washer with a unique pressurized hose reel as well. Unlike most storage reels that require you to completely unwind the entire hose, this reel lets you use any length of hose without having to unwind the whole reel, and without sacrificing any power. Plus, when you’re done, the hose winds up easily for compact storage.

How Does Stihl Stack Up?

Homeowners are starting to get a little spoiled for choice when it comes to electric pressure washers. What with all the available options, it can be difficult to choose which works best for you. In terms of power, all three models match up closely. Sun Joe posts the max pressure and rated specs. Going with its maximum-stated numbers, it looks like this model shows more power. However, its actual rated numbers tell a different story—and that’s what we included in our chart for better consistency and comparison. In any case, Stihl is the only model that includes a brushless motor. That should also affect the RE 110 Plus’ long-term durability.

The various hoses and cords amongst all these models are roughly the same lengths, plus or minus a few feet. A longer hose or cord could be more convenient, but it probably won’t be the factor that sways a purchasing decision one way or the other.

Integrated Pressurized Hose Reel

What might influence you, however, is Stihl’s pressurized hose reel. It provides a lot of conveniences. Not having to unwind the entire hose sounds great, particularly when you won’t lose water pressure by only unreeling part of it. The Greenworks model also includes this. Both models top the Sun Joe on the convenience of the hose wrap, while Sun Joe includes a handy patio cleaning attachment.

Price is the category that will cause some otherwise Stihl customers some pause. Somewhat characteristically, the Stihl model is substantially more expensive. Some will find the price justified on account of Stihl’s reputation for quality and their great network of dealers and service centers. Others may balk at the price and opt for a less expensive option. Price does not always equal value—and we think the serviceable Stihl presents an excellent value.
